Businesses like 7 eleven and CVS make it possible to add paper money and/ or cards to Cashapp balances. Using this approach allows me to receive the deposit electronically without you having to use your personal account. In fact, you don’t even need to have a Cashapp account, though it is helpful to see which stores participate in this service (see instructions below). The jist of it: I will send you a screenshot of a barcode, payment is handed to the cashier, they scan the barcode and the deposit is sent to me. To find a store:
Tap the bank icon on the bottom left
Tap “deposit paper money”
Send me the address to a store of your choice
Do not click “show barcode”. I will send you a screenshot of the barcode to use. Please be aware that barcodes expire after 5 minutes so go through this process while youre already at the store.
Hand the payment to the cashier and in exchange, they will scan the barcode. Transfers are immediate and I will notify you once I recieve it.
